What Should a Treatment Center Feel Like?
Clinical excellence matters, and so does recovery culture. What to pay attention to when you visit or call a program.
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Sunview Wellness, Frank Galimidi brings more than 23 years of specialized experience in addiction treatment and behavioral healthcare leadership. His career has been defined by a commitment to raising the standard of care through executive strategy, operational excellence and a deep clinical understanding. Frank holds the CASAC, CAP, CRADC, NCAC II and ICADC credentials and is a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
He has been an executive at both for-profit and nonprofit agencies, and joined Sunview to lead the program. Before Sunview, he was Chief Clinical Officer at Sunset House and Executive Director of the Meadows Counseling Center. Earlier, he ran a nonprofit residential and IOP program for six years.
His leadership philosophy centers on two ideas: Clinical Architecture™ and moving beyond “I = Sick”, the fear of functioning as a healthy adult once the sick role is removed. Through Clinical Architecture™, Frank builds treatment environments that foster accountability, connection, structure and sustainable recovery, helping people build lives defined not by past struggles but by growth, purpose and long-term wellness.
Frank is an active contributor to industry discussions through professional publications, podcasts and leadership forums, where he advocates for treatment models that prioritize meaningful transformation over short-term stabilization.
Frank leads Sunview Wellness as Chief Executive Officer, setting the strategy and the standard of care for the whole program. He is the creator of In Vivo Treatment™ and Clinical Architecture™, the two ideas behind how Sunview’s outpatient programs are built.
Frank is the creator of In Vivo Treatment™ and Clinical Architecture™. Both grew out of one question that has shaped his career: can I stay sober while actually living my life?
In vivo essentially means “within the living environment.” The idea is that recovery skills shouldn’t just exist on paper. At some point, people have to practice them where their life actually happens, then bring what happened back into treatment and work through it.
Clinical Architecture™ is how Frank builds treatment environments that foster accountability, connection, structure and sustainable recovery. Two of its ideas, Clinical Excellence and Recovery Culture, shape how Sunview thinks about the treatment environment: clinical excellence gives treatment its substance, and recovery culture gives that treatment somewhere to live.
