What the Outpatient Program Is
A weekly anchor for recovery in real life
Our Outpatient Program (OP) is the least intensive level of care at Sunview. You come in one morning a week, from 9 AM to 1 PM, on the weekday you choose. That’s about 4 hours of treatment a week, built around a life that’s getting fuller.
OP centers on group therapy, with individual and family sessions when your therapist recommends them. You keep access to psychiatric care through our Telemed Clinix partnership, and you keep working with therapists who already know your story.

Who the Outpatient Program Is For
For when you need less time in treatment, not less support
Stepping down from PHP or IOP
You’ve done the intensive work and your days are filling back up with work and family. OP keeps a weekly anchor in place while you take on more.
Longer-term maintenance
Recovery isn’t linear. A standing morning each week gives you a place to bring the hard days before they turn into old patterns.
Structured support without a higher level first
Not everyone comes from residential care. If your pre-screening shows OP is the right fit, you can start here.
What Changes in OP: From Insight to Integration
Understanding why is the start. Choosing differently is the goal.
Earlier in treatment, the question is “how do I get through this?” By OP, it’s closer to “I understand why I do this, I can see it happening, and I have a choice about how I respond.”
Most of your week now happens outside the room. The argument at home, the stressful day at work: you bring what actually happened back to group, we slow it down together, and you try again. That’s recovery practiced in real life.

Support That Continues After the Program
Finishing OP doesn’t mean losing your providers
If medication is part of your recovery, you can keep seeing the same Telemed Clinix provider after you finish at Sunview. Your psychiatric care doesn’t reset just because the program ends.
After discharge, our team reaches out to see how you’re doing: whether you’re still connected to the supports we recommended, like an individual therapist, psychiatric care and recovery meetings, and how life is going overall.
Psychiatric care and medication managementWhen OP Is Not Enough
Needing more support isn’t failure. There are ebbs and flows, hard seasons and old patterns that resurface. If symptoms come back or life gets heavier, you can step back up to the Intensive Outpatient Program or the Partial Hospitalization Program with the same team, and step down again when you’re ready.
Sunview is outpatient care.
