Choosing a Program
We offer three levels of outpatient care: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient Program (OP). All programs include group therapy, with individual and family therapy as clinically recommended. Compare PHP, IOP and OP.
Intensity. PHP meets every weekday morning, about 20 hours a week. IOP meets three days a week, day or evening, 9 to 12 hours. Both include group therapy, a weekly individual session and psychiatric care. See the Partial Hospitalization Program and the Intensive Outpatient Program.

Yes. Most people step down as they progress, and you can step back up if you need more support, with the same team the whole time. Moving between PHP, IOP and OP.
Daytime IOP: 3 days per week, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Evening IOP: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Intensive Outpatient Program.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM: 4 hours of intensive treatment, 5 days per week. A day in the Partial Hospitalization Program.
Is Sunview the Right Fit?
Sunview is outpatient care, so detox happens before you start with us. If stopping could cause dangerous withdrawal, you’ll need medically supervised detox first. We’ll help you find it and plan Sunview as your next step. When detox or residential care comes first.
No. All three programs are outpatient, and you sleep at home. If you need 24-hour care first, we’ll refer you to residential treatment and plan your step down to us. Who Sunview is right for.
Psychiatric care through Telemed Clinix is part of our PHP, IOP and OP programs, not a standalone service. If that’s all you need, call us and we’ll point you in the right direction. Psychiatric care and medication management.

Insurance and Cost
Yes. We accept most major commercial plans, such as Aetna, Florida Blue, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare, and Florida Medicaid plans too. Don’t see your plan? Reach out: it’s very likely we can get your treatment covered. Insurance and payment.

Daily Life in Treatment
Many people do. PHP ends at 1 PM, day IOP meets three mornings a week, and evening IOP meets after work. What a typical day in treatment looks like.

Yes. Random drug testing is part of how we support your recovery and keep the group safe for everyone. Drug testing and ground rules.

Medication
Often, yes. Your Telemed Clinix provider reviews what you take and makes changes only when they’re clinically indicated. Psychiatric care and medication management.
Yes. Sunview is abstinence-based, but not medication-free. Suboxone, Vivitrol and naltrexone are welcome when a qualified outside provider prescribes and manages them. Opioid addiction treatment.
Stimulants, including prescribed ones like Adderall, aren’t used during the program. A prescription doesn’t decide fit on its own; your provider will talk through options. ADHD and addiction treatment.
Benzodiazepines aren’t used during the program. If you’ve taken them regularly for a long time, medically supervised detox usually comes first. Benzodiazepine addiction treatment.

Family and Life After Treatment
With your consent, your therapist contacts a loved one during your first week. After that, involvement follows your pace. How family therapy works at Sunview.
That’s your choice. Nobody is pressured into it. Your therapist may gently explore what’s behind the hesitation, when you’re ready. When you’re not ready to involve family.
We plan your next steps with you before discharge, and our team reaches out afterward to see how you’re doing. Support that continues after the program.
Yes. You can continue with your Telemed Clinix provider after you finish at Sunview. Continuing psychiatric care after discharge.
